Jihye is a wonderful teacher!! She is super accommodating and flexible, responds to needs / requests quickly, and is so thorough, patient, and helpful as a teacher. I speak Korean fluently but my foundational grammar/spelling and reading/writing were never great. At the same time, my boyfriend is learning Korean for the first time with no experience. I was looking for someone who could accommodate both our experience levels while teaching not just about the language, but also about Korean culture - and Jihye more than delivers! We have so much fun learning Korean every week and I'm so grateful to have found her!

I am a Korean American who did not grow up speaking the language, only understanding a handful of phrases here and there from my childhood. However, I had been studying on my own for about a year before signing up with Jihye, and I also knew how to read Korean because I had learned as a child. So my abilities were kind of all over the map, but Jihye took the time to understand where I was and what I needed, which I very much appreciate. She is a kind and patient (and fun!) teacher. Highly recommended!

Jihye is truly the best Korean teacher. I wanted to learn Korean because I love K-pop and other Korean stuff and Jihye helped me so much to learn what I always wanted to learn. She is very patient and supporting and is really nice. I say if you want to learn Korean, you should get Jihye to teach you.
